Radiation Therapist (PRN)

DEFINITION:

The staff Radiation Therapist is responsible for the technical aspects of radiation therapy, placing emphasis on accuracy, treatment, radiation safety, simulation, simple dosimetry, and patient care.  Patients cared for/interacted with are adolescents, adult, and geriatric.

EDUCATION:  

Must be a graduate of an ARRT recognized program.  The ARRT is The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the largest national credentialing agency in the radiologic sciences.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be either registered or registry eligible with the ARRT.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Registered with the ARRT with one year experience is preferred.
